Born November 4, 1940 in Williamsport, Gerald Mark Rightmire was a son of Dorothy (Foulkrod) Rightmire and the late Dormar Rightmire.
Jerry was a sheet metal union worker with Local 112 out of Elmira, NY for many years until retiring in 2003. In earlier years, He was employed by American LeFrance also in Elmira.
Jerry was a private person and will be remembered for his, “that’s a need to know basis.”
He appreciated nature and time spent just being outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding the local deer and keeping his yard in shape. Jerry also played cards; Euchre was a favorite.

In addition to his mother Dorothy of Proctor, surviving are his son, Mark (Bonnie) Rightmire of Gillett; two grandchildren, Gregory Rightmire of Gillett and Brittany Rightmire of Troy; two great granddaughters, Sophia and Mora; two siblings, Calvin (Penny) Rightmire of Roaring Branch and Carol (Merton) Strouble of Morgantown, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service was held August 8th at the Barbours Cemetery in Plunkett’s Creek Twp., (Lycoming County) with Rev. Jasper Smith, officiating.
