Franklin Richard Tillotson, "Frank” to family and friends, was born July 19, 1925 in Canton, the son of the late Milo Denton and Leah Maude (Welch) Tillotson.
Frank served our country during WWII and earned the rank of Corporal while in the U.S. Army’s Company D Infantry. On Nov. 4, 1946, he married the former Madeline Mott in Canton. They were blessed with 66 years together before her passing on March 19, 2013. Frank attended the Independent Baptist Church of Towanda.
While always a hard worker and dedicated to the operations of their dairy farm, Frank was a “jack of all trades” type person. In earlier years, he also enjoyed logging and drove truck hauling cars out of Muncy, PA. He will be lovingly remembered as the family’s Patriarch; it was Frank who nick-named all his grandchildren. He also was patriotic, a collector of all things and he enjoyed reading.
Surviving are his children, Karin Gilbert and Linda (Wayne) Millard all of Leroy; seven grandchildren; Dave (Jen) Gilbert, Timothy (Crystal) Millard, Jesse (Amy) Millard, Joe (Bonnie) Millard, Sarah (Steve) Beers, Maggie (Randy) Gilliland and Anna Warnick; 17 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
The funeral was held on January 14 at Pepper Funeral Home, Canton with Rev. Donn Hauser officiating
Burial followed in Beech Flats Cemetery.
