He was 82 years of age. Born April 19th, 1933 in Towanda he was the son of Frank J. sr and Jennie (Johnson) Benjamin. Throughout his adult life Frank was a truck driver, and for many years was employed at Strope’s Salvage in North Towanda.
He was a friendly man who enjoyed doing for others. Frank was the type who constantly busied himself, either at his own home or by helping someone else.
He enjoyed tinkering in his work shop and tending the garden. Most of all, he enjoyed the company of his adopted family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his wife, Eliza, at home, stepsons Walter and John Vanderpool Sr., both of Towanda, daughter Abby Landmesser of Florida, stepdaughters Carol (& Charles) Place, Gladys (& Fred) Ringler and Betty Miller, all of Towanda, brothers Leonard “Benny” Benjamin and Walter “Beetle” Benjamin, both of Towanda, Kenneth (& Autumn) Benjamin of Rome, PA, Richard “Dickie” (& Lola) Benjamin of Towanda, brother-in-law James (& Peggy) Waldorf of Meshoppen, sisters Thelma Packard of Gillett, Nettie Brown of Wysox, sisters-in-law Charlene Benjamin and Dawn Benjamin, both of Towanda, several step-grandchildren, numerous step- great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by brothers Bert Benjamin, Burton Benjamin, Charles Benjamin, Burton Benjamin, jr., and Leo Benjamin, and sisters Nellie Mills, Alice Northrup, Helen Waldorf, Clara Kinner and Marion Northrup.
In keeping with Frank’s expressed wishes, all services are private, and have been entrusted to Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, Canton.
