Edwina, “Winnie” to family and friends, was born in Williamsport October 27, 1936. She was a daughter of the late William Glenn Hartline and Edith M. (Sellinger) Jackson.
After graduation from Williamsport High School, Winnie attended beauty school but she found her calling as the owner and operator of a pet store in Williamsport and later a store in Canton. She also enjoyed helping with the family owned animal kennels. Winnie was a talented crafter and liked to make jewelry, homemade candies and she collected all types of bells.
She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Allen Murphy.
A memorial service in celebration of Winnie’s life will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, Nov. 25 at Mt. Zion Retreat Center, 287 Zion Rd. Roaring Branch, PA 17765.
