
Edward Costello Holmes III, “Eddie” was born on February 16, 1964 in Westchester, PA. He was a son of Nancy (Wilson) Love and the late Edward C. Holmes Jr. and the stepson of the late Richard Love. Eddie attended Westchester Henderson High School where he excelled in playing sports and was a talented artist.
On March 31, 1984, he married the love of his life, the former Lynn Good and they made their home in Canton.
Eddie was employed as a machinist for Parker Machine in Canton. An energetic and hard-working person, he was always busy with a project around his immaculate house or in his workshop. Eddie was a devoted family man. He was also a stimulating conversationalist, very popular and well liked; he tried to be a friend to everyone he knew. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed many interests. Special times to Eddie were supporting his kids and nephews play sports, enjoying beautiful days while camping or taking jeep rides and just hanging out spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Nancy Love,Canton, surviving are his wife, Lynn; children, Reese Holmes (fiancée, Erin Perry) and Rachel Holmes (fiancé, Tim Kelley); sister and brothers, Cindy (Dennis) Robinette, Honeybrook, PA, Dickie (Tonia) Holmes, Canton, Scott (Christy) Holmes, Windsor, VA, Richard (Patty) Love, Westchester and Michael (Pat) Love of Ohio; Aunt Bea and Uncle Charlie Malin, Westchester; mother-in-law, Donna Good, Canton; two sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws, Laurie and Craig Parker, LeAnn “Mick” and David Black all of Canton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews that he loved dearly; close friend, Timmy Hilfiger and always thought of as a daughter, Brianna Watkins. Also his best friend, dog Ace.
Eddie was predeceased by his son, Ryan Dean Holmes on July 23, 2002; his father, Edward C. Holmes Jr.; step-father, Dick Love; father-in-law, Dean Robert Good and cousin, Michael Malin.
Calling hours are 11 to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr. Canton. Rev. Jerry Schmidt will officiate the funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Beech Flats Cemetery.
