Donna Lee was born September 12, 1938 in Canton, a daughter of the late Wendell and Mildred (Norman) Bassett.
She was a 1956 graduate of Canton High School and on July 5, 1956, she married Dean Good in Canton’s Ecumenical Church. They shared 52 years of marriage before his passing on March 26, 2009. Dean and Donna owned and operated the former Sears Store in Canton for over 20 years.
Caring for her beloved family and home always came first in Donna’s life. She also loved being outdoors and enjoyed watching nature. Many special times were spent on the porch just relaxing or visiting with family and friends. She was a great supporter of both Canton and Troy school sports and was a social member of the Canton V.F.W. Post 714.
Donna also crocheted, made many beautiful afghans and she enjoyed solving word puzzles.
In addition to her husband Dean, Donna was predeceased by her grandson, Ryan Holmes and son-in-law, Ed Holmes III.
In keeping with Donna’s wishes, there was no calling hours. Rev. Jerry Schmidt officiated the funeral service in celebration of her life 11 A.M. Monday, July 17, at Pepper Funeral Home, in Canton.
Burial followed in Beech Flats Cemetery.
