He was born March 20, 1959, in Lewisburg, a son of Phebe (Grand) Manotti, Mifflinburg, and the late Robert L. Manotti, Sr.
On November 3, 1990, in Lock Haven, he married the love of his life, Maryanne E. Walizer, who survives.
Denis was a 1977 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School and later Millersville University. He was a teacher and a wrestling coach for 33 years at Canton Area Jr-Sr High School.
Denis will forever be remembered by his wife of 27 years, and two daughters, Mikah J. Manotti and March I. Manotti; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert, Jr. and Andrea Manotti, Kenneth Manotti and Suzanne Manotti, and John and Lisa Manotti. He was loved by his five nieces and nephews; Clint, Dustin, Elizabeth, Jeana, and Peter.
Denis was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on Penn’s Creek.
His nickname was “The Falcon”. The Falcon is a solar emblem of success, victory and rising above the situation. At its core, the falcon represents visionary power, wisdom and guardianship. This defined Denis Manotti.
Visitors will be received at the family residence,159 Herr Lane, Montoursville on Friday, April 27th from 4 to 8 pm.
