David E. "Dave" Forrest, age 71, of Mansfield, died on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Dave was born on August 5, 1943 in Sayre, the son of James and Irene Naomi (Porter) Forrest. He is survived by his wife, Sally (Reynolds) Forrest. Dave owned and operated the Forrest Carpet and Furniture store in Mansfield from 1972 to 2001. He was a lifetime member of the Austinville Union Church and enjoyed woodworking and reading.

In addition to his wife, Sally, Dave is survived by son, Shawn Forrest, Mansfield, PA; grandson, Josh Forrest; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eunice and Art Wilston, Troy, Shirley Forrest, Elmira, NY, Pearl and Fred Stroudt of Troy, Donna and Rich Brass of Woodhall, NY; brother-in-law, Charles Geiger, Corning, NY. Dave was predeceased by a brother, James E. Forrest and a sister, Lorraine Geiger.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Dave on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Austinville Union Church with Rev. Dan Shaylor officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dave's memory to the Shaylor Missionary Family, Austinville Union Church, 8698 Old State Road, Troy, PA 16947.
