Concetta I. “Connie” (Maione) Heib, 83, Gillett, passed away on August 30, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elmira, NY. She was the loving wife of the late LeRoy D. Heib who passed away on May 23, 2010. The couple married September 15, 1982 and had 27 happy years together.
Connie was born on January 20, 1933 in Cliffside Park, NJ, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Filomena (Chiasa) Maione. She was Roman Catholic by faith and was a waitress at Mark’s Brothers Restaurant in Mansfield until her retirement in 1995. Connie enjoyed gardening, spending time at the ocean, dancing, and cooking. She had a sharp wit and enjoyed watching wildlife from her mountain top home.

Connie is survived by her children: Frank R. (Elizabeth) Salatino, Lawrenceville, PA, Doreen (Brian) Weidner, Stafford, VA, Francis V. (Teresa) Salatino,Gillett, and Tami Bernheisel of North Carolina; step children: Linda (Tom) Manley, Gillett, Jan Van Gorden, Horseheads, NY, and Mary (Don) Gorst, Elmira, NY; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, and sister Carmella Miller of New Jersey.
The graveside service to honor Connie’s life was held September 2 at the Oak Hill Cemetery,Troy. All family and friends were welcome to attend.
