
Born April 2, 1937 in Troy, Clifford Clifton Davis, Jr. was the son of the late Clifford and Viola (Woods) Davis. Cliff believed in a good day’s work and possessed a strong work ethic all of his life. He was a meat cutter with P & C Markets for 42 years, working throughout New York State. In earlier years, he also enjoyed working with the Troy Ambulance Association. The Christmas season was always very special to Cliff and he helped Santa Claus with appointments in the Troy area for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, especially projects with his grandsons, car rides in the country and setting on his back porch feeding and watching the birds and squirrels.
In addition to Janet, his wife of 57 years, Cliff was predeceased by his grandsons, Mitchell and Scott Belawske; son-in-law, Terry Sharrow; great grandsons, Mason Sharrow and Mitchell E. Belawske; a sister, Dorothy Hanchett also his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin and Marie Mott
A time of remembrance and celebration of Cliff’s life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, September 16th, at the Canton Moose Lodge No.429 located at Center and Sullivan Streets. Burial will be private in Beech Flats Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial in his name to Troy Lions Club Christmas Basket Give Away, P.O. Box 215 Troy, PA 16947.
