Cleone was born January 18, 1920 in New Era, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Rodney and Bernice Young Wells. She married Kenneth Johnson of New Era on June 15th 1946. He predeceased her on March 16, 2002 after 56 years of marriage.
During World War II Cleone was employed by Norden making bomb sights and Schweizer Aircraft manufacturing gliders. She was also employed by Paper Magic in Troy for several years.
Cleone was a dedicated wife and mother, a wonderful cook (known for her wonderful pies), and loved all the many dogs they had during her life. She was a member of the Windfall Methodist church and taught Sunday school for many years.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., in Sun City, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014. They made Mom’s last chapter in her life a more comfortable one.
