Christy Lee (Ricci) Sterling, 38, of Gillett, PA passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Robert Packer Hospital. She was the loving wife of Curtis A. “Schooch” Sterling, II. The couple married December 29, 1999 and had 15 happy years together.
Christy was born on October 13, 1976 in Pottstown, PA, daughter of the late Vincent C. Ricci, Jr.
She was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1995 and was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Horseheads, NY. Christy was a wonderful cook and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband Schooch; daughters Kaylee Sterling with boyfriend Harold Stone and Emili Sterling; granddaughter Aaleigha Stone; sisters Brandi (Jesse) Stryker, Gillett, PA, and Kim Haas, Douglasville, PA; brother Vincent C. (Lori) Ricci, III, Douglasville, PA; aunt Mary Jane (Mike) Hartman and their son Michael; in-laws Curtis A. and Joie Sterling, Sr.; nieces Ashlee Stryker and Sheena (Seth) Barnes; nephew Justin Stryker; cousin Daniel (Melissa) Shaffer and their children, along with several other nieces, nephews, and family on the Sterling side.
Services will be private and at the convenience of Christy’s family. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
