Charles was born on August 3, 1942, in Towanda, PA the son of the late John Edward and Mildred Anderson Lamphere. He attended Wysox School. On January 4, 1969, he married the former Sharon Benjamin. Charles worked for Taylor’s, now known as Cargill, for over 30 years. When he wasn’t working at Taylor’s he was working on the farm.
Charles liked to tinker with mechanical toys. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. He also liked to go to Mount Pisgah State Park. He liked to collect things from yards sales and he would even dabble in selling those things. Charles was a family man who loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had an uplifting spirit that radiated through everyone that he met.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings George Lamphere, Fran Lamphere, Diane Reeves, Lillian Anderson, and Bertha Patton.
A memorial service was held May 27, 2017 from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Wyalusing, PA with his brother-in-law, Pastor Paul Benjamin, officiating.
