Charles was born November 19, 1924 in Sylvania, son of the late Mark & Mary (Neubauer) Schucker.
He and the former Alice Smith were married November 30, 1951 and celebrated 63 years or marriage together.
Charlie owned and operated Troy Motor Company and retired in 1987. He was a dedicated businessman and Troy community member. Charlie loved the area and all it had to offer.
He was a member of the Sylvania Presbyterian Church, The Cadillac Investment Club, Corey Creek Golf Club, Troy Bowling Association and was in the Troy Bowling Association Men’s Hall of Fame and was member of the Wheel Inn. Charlie enjoyed the outdoors hunting whitetail deer and turkeys, playing cards and spending time with his loving family.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Alice S. Schucker, Troy; son and daughter-in-law, David & Pat Schucker, Columbia Cross Roads; daughters and son-in-law, Valerie Schucker, Lancaster, Lisa & Brian Kiggans, Hilton Head Island, SC; grandchildren, Travis, Tracy and Tyler Schucker, and Sloane Kiggans; brothers, Robert Schucker and James “Sam” Schucker both of Sylvania; twin sister, Shirley Brian, Sylvania, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charles was predeceased by parents, sister Mariam Turner and brother, Mark “Brud” Schucker.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Austinville Union Church, in Austinville, PA. Visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with the service to begin at 11:00 AM. All are invited to attend an informal luncheon at the church following the service. Charles will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy.
