Carol Ann was born on September 26, 1950 in Carbondale Pa. The youngest of 3 children of Bill and Marie O’Hara.
Carol inherited a passion for living, learning and interacting with people that would stay with her throughout her life. With a ready wit and keen compassion she touched all who knew her, however long or brief.
Nicknamed Gabby by her father she spent a lifetime earning the nickname, striking up conversations with friends and friends she had just met everywhere she went. There were no strangers in Carol Ann’s world.
Carol Ann graduated from Canton high school in 1968. From there she attended Robert Packer School of nursing where she earned her nursing degree in 1972. Continuing her desire to broaden herself she attended Eastern Connecticut State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1993.
Carol Ann worked for 44 years as an RN. A majority of her nursing career was spent in hospice care, being a friend, advocate and caregiver to her patients and their families. Carol Ann approached her work like her life with compassion, care and a quick wit! Carol Ann is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Towanda and a former member of Saint John's Church in Troy.
Carol Ann was pre deceased by her father Bill O'Hara in September 2007, and by her Aunt Marie O'Hara Richman in October 2008.
Services will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
