Carol was born in Elmira, N.Y. on July 3, 1950, one of 15 children born to Corey Victor Sickler and Harriet Gromes Sickler. She was a graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School class of 1968.
In early years Carol was employed as a seamstress in garment manufacturing and was later employed by the Wolfe Poultry Farm in East Smithfield, P&C Market in Athens and by the Dandy Mini Mart in Wilawana for a number of years until her retirement. Carol loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, traveling, camping and sewing as she was a gifted seamstress.
Surviving are her devoted husband and caregiver John A. Wright; children Col. Keith Felter Jr. U.S.A.F. and wife Hailley of Baku, Azerbaijan, Elizabeth Mooney and husband Michael of Lino Lakes, Minn., Christopher Felter and wife Bettina of Vienna, Austria; grandchildren Ainsley, Grayson and McKenna Felter, Diana, Selene and Norwood Mooney, Sandro Gastinger; step-children Stanley Wright, Sayre, Robert Wright and wife Sheila of Waverly, Paul Wright and wife Dayle, Granville Summit, Rosey Chilson and husband Eric, Ulster; step-grandchildren Devin and Alisha Wright, Kristin and Kendra Burke, Jenna, Skylar and Allexa King, Cheyanne and Wyatt Chilson; step-great grandson Axel; siblings Corey Sickler Jr. and wife Yvonne, Betty Bates and husband Don, Cookie Sickler, Glen Sickler and wife Mary Lou, Wayne Sickler, Jean Mader and husband Harry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings LaRue Vandemark, Peggy Sickler, Roland, Theodore, Robert, Charles, Terry and Kenneth Sickler.
The funeral service was held July 8, at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home Towanda, Pa.
Interment was in Mountain Lake Cemetery, Burlington Township.
