Born July 21st, 1958 in Troy, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Iona (Fitzwater) Moyer. Candy was always interested in helping others, so as an adult she pursued a career in health care, earning her CAN degree. She had been employed at Martha Lloyd Services for many years, and later with ELCOR in Horse-heads, NY, retiring in 2003. Candy enjoyed doing craft work, which she offered for sale at various local festivals. She was also an expert at crocheting . She enjoyed fishing, was an avid Steelers fan and owned an extensive collection of teddy bears. Her family was of paramount importance, especially her husband, children, grandchildren and her faithful canine companion, Rudy. She was in love with life itself. Candy was also a woman of faith, and was an active member of the Austinville Union Church.
She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Moyer, mother Iona Straka, grandparents Ervin and Katherine Fitzwater, sister Bonita Brock and son Dennis Moyer.
Visitation was held Saturday, October 14th, at Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, 94 N. Center St., Canton followed by the service with the Rev. Ken Marple, her pastor, officiating.
