
He was the husband of Phyllis J. (Porter) Allen, with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Born on February 20, 1931 in Canton, he was the son of the late Harold and Dorothy Lawrence Allen.
Mr. Allen graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor of science. He was a United State Air Force Veteran having served in the Philippines for four years.
He was employed with Abbott Laboratories in pharmaceutical sales and the Lebanon VNA as a licensed physical therapist.
Mr. Allen was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church for over 50 years; a member of the Jaycees and Annville American Legion.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Mark B. Allen of Reading, Barry L. Allen and his wife Becki, Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren, Jonathan, Brandon, Hunter; great grandchildren, Mason and Madelyn; sister, Shirley Mott, Charlottesville, VA.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Joshua Allen.
Funeral services were held September 3 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
Interment was private.
