Betty (Davis) Atkinson, 87, long-time resident of Morris Run, PA passed away April 22, 2015 at the Carlton Senior Care Home in Wellsboro.
Betty Elizabeth was born in Middlebury Center on November 21, 1927.
She was married to Louis Atkinson for 58 years before his passing on Dec. 10, 2007. Family, home and raising her children always came first in Betty’s life. She possessed many friends and was well-known for her outgoing nature. Though sometimes stubborn, everyone loved Betty’s humor. She especially enjoyed being outdoors and picking blueberries. Betty received wonderful care at Carlton’s where the staff affectionately called her “Betty Boop”.

Surviving are children, Louie (Roxie) of East Troy, Gary (Rose) of Calif., Denny (Tina) of Covington, Sherry (Rob) Winter of Cogan Station, Ron and Larry both of Morris Run; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Louis; an infant son, Donald and two sisters.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Betty’s life 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3rd at Zwicharowski Funeral Home, 314 Granger St. in Blossburg with Pastor Michele Somerville, officiating.
Interment will be held at a later date.
