Betty Jane Sinclair was born in Troy on September 28, 1924, the daughter of the late William and Bessie (Marcellus) Sinclair. After graduating from Troy High School, Betty received her beautician license in Elmira, NY. She worked as a beautician at Martha Lloyd Community Services in Troy for several years until retiring in 1987.
Betty was the wife of the late Carl Bert Fraley, Jr. They were blessed with two children. For Betty, caring for family and home were most important in her life. She had many interests including square dancing; Betty and Carl were charter members of the Grand Paraders Club, attending area plays or dances with friends and traveling; she coordinated many trips with the Troy Senior Citizens group.
Surviving are children; Kathleen Fraley (husband, Russ Hogg, Lititz, PA and Charles Fraley, Honolulu, Hawaii; grandsons, Russell Carl Fraley-Hogg (wife, Elizabeth) and Keanen Fraley-Hogg.
In keeping with her wishes, services will be private. Burial will follow in Bradford Co. Memorial Park in Towanda, PA. In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial Mrs. Betty Fraley’s name to Dar-Way Elder Care, 5865 Rt. 154, Forksville, PA 18616 or Guthrie Hospice, 421 Tomahawk Rd., Towanda, PA 18848.
