
Agnes Marie, “Aggie” to family and friends, was born June 20, 1933 in Towanda, a daughter of the late Edward and Goldie (Arnold) Chilson. She was raised by her foster parents, Judd and Ethel Perry.
Agnes worked as a line operator for Canton Manufacturing Co. for over 30 years until retiring. A devoted and active member of the First Christian Church of Alba (Disciples of Christ), Agnes also volunteered at Canton’s Community Center, Meals on Wheels, and Clothing Center. She enjoyed many interests and talents including sewing, cooking, gardening, canning, attending church outings and bingo.
Surviving are her children; Elmer T. (Janet) Walburn Jr. of Canton, Gary Walburn Sr. of East Troy, Vickie (Tom) Adams of Bentley Creek, Kathy Burbank of Wilkes-Barre and Barbara (Clayton) Heasley, Ulster; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; siblings; Phyllis Baggerly, Waverly, NY and Francis Chilson, Athens; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral was held Oct. 3 at the Pepper Funeral Home, Canton, officiated by Pastor Charlotte Morse.
Burial will be in East Canton Cemetery.
