Mavis J. White, born Sept, 28, 1941 in Cortland, N.Y., the daughter of the late William and Helen (Spencer) Comfort, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Her brothers: Linden, Marv, Rodney, Norm, Lester and Vernon Comfort; sisters: Eugena Birch, Ruth Sampson, Winifred Struble and Gloria Jordon also preceded her in death.

Surviving are her loving and devoted husband: Paul White, Columbia Cross Roads, Pa.; sons: Dale (Kelly) Hayes of West Virginia; David (Angela) Sager of Florida; Dennis Sager, Lawrence Sager and Vernon Sager Sr. all of Columbia Cross Roads; grandchildren: David Sager II, Vernon Sager II, Paul Sager, Stephanie Hayes, Joshua Sager, Joseph Sager, Christopher Sager and Corey Hayes; great-grandchildren: Maddy Hayes, Hanna Hayes and Ashton Sager; brother: Dale (Bonnie) Comfort; sisters: Sherry (Kenny) Theetge and Dixie (Bob) Vanhouten; along with several nieces and nephews.
Mavis retired from Paxar in Hillsville, Va. after many years of dedicated service.
Funeral services were held at the Olthof Funeral Home Inc., Elmira/Southport, N.Y., Oct. 28 with Pastor Mickey Cavanaugh officiating . Interment followed in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
