Earl C. Terrel, 95, of Troy, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday June 7, 2015. Earl Conklin Terrel was born in Clinton Twp. Wayne County, PA on March 9, 1920. He was one of 10 children of the late Edmund C. and Helen (Fowler) Terrel. In the 1950’s he and his wife Geraldine purchased a dairy farm close to Troy. The welfare of his family and caring for the farm always came first in Earl’s life. He was blessed with a strong constitution and remained involved and active until most recently. Earl was a member of Troy’s First Baptist Church. In earlier years, he played the harmonica and piano. |
In addition to his wife, the former Geraldine “Gerry” Lewis, who passed away on Nov. 21, 2006, Earl was predeceased by three siblings, Frank Terrel on Nov. 14, 1995, Wyman Terrel on Nov. 6, 1987 and Janet Lee on Apr. 5, 2012; four sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bea Terrel, Opal Terrel, Charles Adlis and James Barton.
Rev. Garry Zuber will officiate the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr. Canton. Visitation will be prior to services from 11 – 12:30 p.m. Burial will be Friday in Clinton Center Cemetery in Waymart.
