Born Jan. 21, 1935 in Roaring Branch, Lycoming County at the family home, Charlie was a son of the late John Fredrick and Adele (Favire) Brannaka.
He was a 1952 graduate of Canton High School. On May 2, 1954, Charlie married the former Jeanetta “Jimmie” Steinback in Calvert.
Charlie owned and operated Brannaka’s Garage and Excavating Company until retiring in 2000. He also was a Lewis Township Supervisor for many years and later worked as the township’s roadmaster until Oct. 2014.
In addition to his wife Jeanetta, surviving are five children; Wesley (Cindy) Brannaka of Roaring Branch, Sue Ann Huston of Trout Run, Judy (Jim) Cronin of Greer, SC, Mary Lou (Dion) Coleman and Dave (Marilyn) Seeling all of Trout Run; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a son-in-law, Nick Cuozzo of Trout Run.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Billie Jo Cuozzo

Burial will be in Pennsdale Cemetery at a later date.
