Partnership administered by Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital recently held its second annual Alumni Event. The event gathered families who had previously graduated from the program back to celebrate their success.

The concert will be held at the Keystone Theatre in Towanda, PA. at 7:30 p.m. This concert is part of the 2015 Endless Mountain Music Festival concert series. The EMMF is celebrating its 10 year of performances and is extremely proud to have Hanako as a guest performer for the festival.
Matthew Fowler graduated from Millersville University on May 9th with a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Biology. He graduated with high honors Magna Cum Laude. His undergrad thesis is "The Community Composition of the Marine Phytoplankton of the Sargasso Sea Determined by Chemotaxonony, with Phylogenetic Relationship to Vertical Gradients in Environmental Factors" He was always on the dean's list. His parents are Pam and Steve Fowler of Canton, PA and grandparents are Lila Thomas, Canton and Lorraine Fowler, Towanda. He will do his graduate work at the University at Buffalo in the fall. AgChoice Farm Credit is pleased to announce that $1.1 million in cash patronage has been distributed to its customer-owners in the Endless Mountains (Towanda) branch territory based on 2014 profits. Returning profits to its customers in the form of patronage is a unique benefit to AgChoice’s cooperative structure and complements the Association’s shared purpose statement of Inspiring Growth in Our Families, Businesses and Rural Communities. Patronage distributions totaled $17.0 million this spring across AgChoice’s service territory, which includes 52 counties in PA and four counties in West Virginia. The Practical Nursing Program is happy to announce that Dale Maynard, current nursing student, is a recipient of a $500 scholarship from the Pennsylvania Association of Practical Nursing Administrators for the Eastern PA Division. The Pennsylvania Association of Practical Nursing Administrators awards three scholarships throughout the whole state. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an approved Practical Nursing Program, completed at least one Term, and complete an application and essay. Attendance, grades, recommendation from the Practical Nursing Coordinator, and the quality of the essay is criteria the recipients are chosen from. The Practical Nursing Program located at Northern Tier Career Center, Towanda, PA is in its 32nd year. It is a one-year program that qualifies graduates to apply for licensure in Practical Nursing. Practical nurses work in nursing homes, doctors’ offices, hospitals, and home health care as well as in other areas of health care. Our speaker Bill Cox will offer an opportunity for dialogue about how Big History might change how we think about our lives, the sources of our morality, and the premises supporting our religion. Dr. Cox is a member of the Washington Crossing UU. When he was younger he earned a Ph.D. and taught at Boston College, Lafayette College and very briefly at Elmira College, but he always looked for more useful work. He raised his kids on a small rocky farm in Steuben County (NY); He was a school board president there, and eventually became a marketing director for an architectural firm in Corning, before he retired to N.J. In general he takes being alive too seriously to be serious about it.
