Our speaker Bill Cox will offer an opportunity for dialogue about how Big History might change how we think about our lives, the sources of our morality, and the premises supporting our religion.
Dr. Cox is a member of the Washington Crossing UU. When he was younger he earned a Ph.D. and taught at Boston College, Lafayette College and very briefly at Elmira College, but he always looked for more useful work. He raised his kids on a small rocky farm in Steuben County (NY); He was a school board president there, and eventually became a marketing director for an architectural firm in Corning, before he retired to N.J. In general he takes being alive too seriously to be serious about it.
