Cardiovascular rehabilitation programs are designed to help people with cardiovascular problems including heart attack, coronary artery bypass grafting surgery, stable angina, angioplasty, valve surgery, heart transplant and stenting procedures. Participating in a cardiovascular rehabilitation program helps patients recover faster and improves their quality of life. Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital’s Community Multidiagnostic Blood Analysis (CMBA) is a physician-approved, community screening program featuring 38 blood tests—all from one blood draw and for one low cost of $52. An optional take home colorectal screening kit is available for $7. Men aged 50+ and men under 50 with a family history of prostate cancer can opt to add the prostate specific antigen (PSA) test to the CMBA panel for an additional $18 or as a standalone test for $22. Post Commander Andrew Beaderman made the presentation to MU President Fran Hendricks. “The American Legion Post 167 places high priority on furthering ones education,” Beaderman said. “Mansfield University gave us an opportunity to donate for scholarships to assist our fellow veterans.” The class of '56 held their summer picnic at Bulkleys Pond on Saturday.
