The Troy High School Alumni Reception will be held on Friday evening, May 22, 2015, at the Troy Memorial Auditorium, High and King Streets in Troy. This marks the 119th anniversary of this event.

The Eighth annual Endless Mountains Antique Tractor & Machinery Show will be held June 5, 6 and 7 at the Canton Firemen's Field. There will be free admission on Friday but admission will be $3 on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday the event will open at 6:30 for breakfast. There will be a flea market at 9 am and cake walks at 11, 1, 3 and 5. New this year - a fish fry at 4 pm! There will be an auction with Ed Pepper at 5 pm. The Canton High School Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday, May 23, beginning at 6:30 pm at Canton High School. Class Speakers will be: Class of 1945 - Jack McNett Class of 1955 - Dale Landon Class of 1965 - Dennis Keschl Class of 1975 - Frank Watson Class of 1985 - Theron Beck Class of 1990 - Brian Kennedy Class of 1995 - Ken Griffin Class of 2005 - Brittany Holmes Wilson Class of 2015 - Trevor Route Peter Geanacopoulos, Class of 1972, will be the Toastmaster. Tickets for the banquet are available at Canton Pharmacy, Brown's Pharmacy in Canton, and the Canton High School office. The Four Preps appeared on the music scene in 1956 and became one of the hottest acts of the late '50's and early '60's. This week on The Class Reunion, Hosted by Former Canton Resident Kelly Watts, Bruce Belland, The Founder will be the special guest in hour two.
Highlighted will be a special CD release of Bruce's favorite songs from the Original Group; Bruce, Glen Larson, Ed Cobb, and Marv Ingram. The CD is titled The Four Preps Sing Folk Favorites And Country Classics. The Class Reunion is shown honoring the first two decades of Rock And Roll and is heard Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM Eastern time. This notice is for a Disaster Recovery Housing grant application now being developed for housing needs resulting from damage to homes during the flooding events in 2011 including repetitive losses from prior flooding. Disney's live-action Cinderella movie will be playing at the Rialto this weekend, April 24-27, 2015 and, in conjunction with this box office hit coming to Canton, the theater will have several special promotions for all showings.

The minutes of the March meeting were approved as corrected. A total of 13 scholarships were awarded in Guthrie’s 41st Annual Health Professions and Employee Scholarship Programs. Four scholarships were issued to children of Guthrie employees with no restrictions on academic career interest, while the remaining nine scholarships were issued to students throughout the region whose academic endeavors will be directly related to health care.
