Schrader/Bellows retirees enjoyed another breakfast get together at Kelley's Creek Side Restaurant on April 3. Those attending were: Chuck Groover, Yong Babcock, Brad Krise, Elmer Walburn, Jim Castle, Eustus Vanderpool, Dick Turner. Their next breakfast date is May 1 at 9:00 a.m at Kelley's Creek Side Restaurant. Troy TOPS #986 met on April 27 at the Troy Vets Club with seventeen members weighing in.
There was a total loss of 12 pounds, with 3/4 lb. for KOPS. Top TOPS were Lacy and Jeff, each with three pounds, and the top KOPS was Betty with 3/4 lb. Runner-up was Brenda with 2 1/2 lb. The fruit basket was shared by Betty and Lacy. The campaign includes inspection of any and all school buses and multi-function school activity buses which engage in the transportation of school age children. David said, “if you want to have good days,” do three things: The 64th annual observance of the National Day of Prayer will take place on Thursday, May 7th, and be observed locally on the steps of the Bradford County Courthouse in Towanda at noon. This year’s theme, “Lord, Hear Our Cry,” is based on the scripture in I Kings 8:28 - “Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day.” In honor of the event, the County Commissioners will be issuing a Proclamation, designating May 7th as a Day of Prayer in Bradford County.
