After the treasurer's and secretary's reports, President Krystle Bristol asked everyone to introduce themselves.
She also thanked the membership committee, chaired by Robyn Chamberlain with Cassie Dygert, and Heather Machmer helping for the great job they did getting the package sent out.
Members announced upcoming event such as specials for Father's Day dinner at 1110 West Main Street and the Milk Shake Day on June 19 at First Citizens Community Bank.
A joint mixer is planned for June 9 in Wellsboro and everyone was invited to attend.
Chef Adam Hall thanked everyone for making the mixer at his restaurant a huge success.
If any member needs to have an upcoming event announced, it may be placed on the Chamber website. Chris from Oscar's is the webmaster.
Since the creation of a Facebook page, the Chamber has 816 likes heading towards their goal of 1000.
The 2015 entry in the building series (Troy Sale Barn) and the next Christmas ornament (Coppertree) were discussed.
The Car Show committee noted that this is the Chamber's biggest fundraiser and encouraged members to sign up to provide personnel, food, beverages, or make a monetary donation.
Jenn Malehorn asked if the Chamber could get more involved with the Veterans' Day Parade. They will discuss as the day get closer.
A draft of the brochure will be available next month for members to view.
Heather Machmer volunteered to be chairperson of the Hometown Heroes project which will begin again in the year 2016. She was thanked by Mrs. Bristol. "It is a difficult job, but I know Heather will be able to complete it."
The budget was discussed and it was decided that a donation would be made to the Troy Fair.
Mrs. Bristol asked members if they thought not meeting in the summer would be a good idea.
After several comments, it was decided that with all the business which is conducted, it was not viable and getting together just for the fellowship and exchange of ideas is worth meeting monthly.
Rachel Rossiter was thanked for all her effort getting the minutes out and working on the brochure.
A request to help one of the members, Jason's Barbershop was announced and the response was well received. Mrs. Bristol collected donations and asked anyone who wished to add to the donation to see her.
Jason's daughter is very ill and he had to be closed several weeks. "Anytime your business is not open, it costs you money. We would like to help in any way we can."
