June 26 - traffic violation, lawn mower on roadway. Not registered, trailered or exempt.
June 28 - cellular telephone alleged to have been taken from a motor vehicle while the individual was at work.
July 1 - Multiple 911 hang-up calls to Bradford County Communications Center made from cell phone. GPS coordinates determined it to be in proximity of McDonald's in Troy. Individual located and it was determined calls were pocket calls, made in error.
July 2 - Assisted with medical emergency until Western Alliance arrived on scene.
July 7 - Bicycle valued at $700 was taken from a home on Prospect Street.
July 13 - Assisted federal government with background investigation.
July 14 - Conducted investigation relative to suspicious person
July 15 - Numerous traffic stops for violations of Title 75 (registrations) on streets known for speeding issues.
July 17 - Traffic citation and numerous warnings issued for a traffic violation on Elmira St.
July 20 - Burglary investigation closed.
July 20 - assisted Probation with warrant service. Individual taken into custody.
July 20 - Dog law violation.
July 22 - Harassment investigation. Pending.
July 23 - Suspicious person. Individual subsequently located and presented with health issues. Transported to Guthrie Troy Community Hospital. Enforcement action pending.
Chief Morelli reported that he is working on new policy and procedures which will be implemented in the future.
The search continues for two full-time officers and numerous part-time officers to fill gaps in coverage. An interested individual will be graduating from Lackawanna Police Academy on July 24, 2015.
The Chief is actively pursuing information relative to accreditation and associated costs. A packet was provided to Council member Mark Colton. The Chief asked Council to grant authority to initiate the process.
An Active Shooter reality-based training at Troy High School and Elementary School will be scheduled for November 9. A plan to resolve High Street traffic situation after school is being implemented.
The Patrol personal computer should be delivered and installed within a few weeks.
The Chief has personally responded to 97 calls since being appointed chief, Thirty-eight of them are offense reports requiring follow up.
Thirteen incidents were handled by the State Police during this reporting period.
