Bradford County Commissioners voted to approve an expansion project for Sunfish Pond in LeRoy Township at their Thursday, Feb. 10 meeting.
The agreement is between Bradford County and Hunt Engineering for the design and construction which will relocate 27 existing RV sites to the right and provide an additional 9 sites for a total of 36, as well as infrastructure upgrades with water and electric.
These plans are part of the “master plan” with Bradford County parks.
Larry Acla’s contract with commissioners has been approved for renewal as the Sunfish Pond County Park supervisor for the 2022 season.
The plan is for the new campsites to be ready for next camping season.

Bradford County Commissioners also accepted the resignation of Mary Neiley, who was on the Bradford County Planning Commission Advisory board. Commissioner Miller thanked her for her service to the county. She will be replaced by Roy Keiper, a former Rome Township supervisors and contractor.
“We think Roy will be a great addition (to the Planning Commission),” said Commissioner Miller.
Commissioners also approved a two-year agreement between Bradford County and Chesapeake Appalachia LLC for 103.85 acres in West Burlington Township, where the prison and the manor sit.
Commissioners approved the emergency operation plan for the Bradford County Airport.
An agreement between Bradford County and Larson Design Group has been approved for the Bradford County Bridge Maintenance and Repair Project.
