Meeting called to order by the President Berni Hornung followed by the roll call, pledge of allegiance, and The Lord's Prayer. A thoughtful lesson was read by the Chaplin.
The Secretary and Treasurer's Report were given by the officers and approved by all.
They appreciate everyone for supporting the spaghetti suppers through out the season. The profits help the fire department. It was also voted that the suppers will always be held the 4th Wednesday of the month starting September 23rd_ (This may help eliminate some confusion when there are 5 Wednesdays)
The Indoor Yard Sale will be held July 11th in the Social Rooms from 8AM to 2PM. Tables will be available to rent at $10 per table. Please call (607- 425-6937) if you are interested in one.
It was decided that the Auxiliary may have the Meeting room, rest rooms, living room, and radio room's floors stripped and waxed over the summer. We are to get some bids and come to a decision at our June meeting.
Their Book Grant winner this year was Ellie Knapp. She will be a Senior at Elmira College in the Fall majoring in Marketing and Business. She wrote an essay on "Why is Volunteering Important in Our Community". In our time when volunteers are so hard to get she brought quite a bit of attention as to what volunteers accomplish locally. Congratulations! Job well done.
Lynnette turner won the 50/50.
