The minutes of the January meeting were approved and the treasurer's report approved with these balances: General Fund, $79,770.02; Impact Fee, $187,238.20; Debit account, $1,133.87; Jumbo CD, $201,102.27; EZ Access CD, $11,634,57; PLGIT (State Fund), $14,078.87.
Expenses included $25 for a CD with financial records from 2009 , which will be used for the audit for that year. The new auditors are working on 2009, but due to changes in Quickbooks since then the payroll records are not directly available but can be recreated. Mr. Tomlinson said the data has "pretty well been collected" and the 2010 audit also should be completed in a few weeks once the information is compiled.
After speaking with the State Association of Township Supervisors the Supervisors decided that in order to take part in the Unemployment Compensation Group Trust. This Ordinance was advertised January 15 and the Supervisors unanimously passed it at tonight's meeting.
The township has expressed interest in purchasing a four-wheel drive truck currently owned by Ward Township. After a discussion it was decided to acquire this vehicle if the price is acceptable. Although there had been some sentiment to replace the 14' box with a 12' box, Mr. May said the truck could be used with the larger box, provided the cab shield was removed. The Supervisors will look at the truck and if the cost is in line, may purchase it at the March meeting.
Spring Clean-Up for Township residents only has been confirmed for April 18. The Supervisors will allow each user to drop off four tires free of charge. April 18 will also be the date of the road inspection.
The Supervisors approved a request from the Scott Shedden farm to add acreage to the farm in the Ag Security area. The original acreage is included but the farm has expanded since then and those acres are not included. Sheddens will make the application to the Planning Commission. The Supervisors voted to approve the addition.
No action was taken on a request for a donation to the Troy Sale Barn.
A recall notice was received for the Ford truck. The work is estimated to need half a day to accomplish. The Supervisors hope to wait until the weather breaks before taking in the truck.
Mr. May asked if the Supervisors had any information on the Lilley Hill project, which the township applied for under the Dirt & Gravel Road program. The money has not yet been released. Mr. May suggested that drainage work on the west side of the road be included in the project. This would either involve a sluice to carry the water away or a ditch. The Supervisors favor a sluice.
The annual Quickbooks update will cost $449. The supervisors decided not to add a service that would cost an additional $200 plus a monthly charge of $2 per employee per month, saying they would make the old system work for a while.
The township received royalties of $11.80 from Mitsui and $29.49 from Anadarko last year.
The bills were approved for payment.
The Fire Board approved a new slate of officers last month.
