CANTON — Canton Area School District’s board of education met on Oct. 8 in the cafeteria of the high school.
Superintendent Dr. Eric Briggs announced that Gov. Wolf amended sports and spectator limits. He then went on to report that the district has made adjustments to the athletic department and the health and safety plan. The plan now allows more students and spectators at these events.
“The allowance is now 500 spectators at outdoor events and with the current structure, with volleyball, about 100 into those events,” he said. “We are comfortable allowing these numbers at both home and away events.”
He also reported the readiness of the high school staff, in case school must switch to remote learning again.
