Lillian Ellis, of Virginia, just donated $105.80, made from collecting cans and bottles to start Bradford County Humane Society’s fund to build a separate isolation kennel for dogs who either need a long term stay or are quarantined. These kennels will include a warm and sturdy building for indoor kennels with outdoor runs accessible right from the kennels. The new kennels, with their large outdoor yards, will absolutely save the sanity of dogs who cannot stand being close to other dogs 24 hours a day. Lillian Ellis, 12 years old, was visiting from Virginia with her grandmother, Beverly Baker, of Athens, when she heard about our plan to build an isolation or quarantine kennel adjacent to the shelter. She immediately came up with the first money to support the project, and it could not have a more solid or generous start.
