TROY — The chamber of commerce discussed the car show, Hometown Christmas and toured the Troy Sale Barn at the Sept. 2 meeting.
Hometown Christmas
Nicole Carmen asked chamber to consider partnering with the Troy Sale Barn for Hometown Christmas this year, as last year was a success with the many vendors that attended the event.
“We plan to have one row of vendors down both sides with doors open for the event,” said Carmen. “I will have vendors set up outside as well,” she said, concerning the Sale Barn.
She noted that if regulations for events (due to COVID-19) is lifted by Gov. Wolf, things will change, she said, possibly considering everything inside.
Carmen added that The Sale Barn is a central location downtown and walking distance throughout Troy, with president Zachary Gates agreeing that including the downtown portion of Troy will add success.
Chamber also discussed the “overflow” of vendors, and where they could possibly go for the event, with a couple ideas discussed but not set in stone.
Also during the Hometown Christmas discussion, chamber agreed to once again partner with Canton Chamber of Commerce on advertising and events on that day, per the OK with Canton.
