TROY — The Troy Chamber of Commerce met via ZOOM on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at noon.
Those present included: Zachary Gates, Veronica Seymour, Elizabeth Card, Rachel Heitzenrater, Michelle Ayers, Robyn Cummings, Bonnie Seeley, Lee Preston, Amy Ward, Guest Speaker Alison White, Trisha Wilkinson, Bryan Seymour, Scot Sample.
This month’s guest speaker was Alison White from Watts All American Made, who spoke about her experience in commercial interior design and her passion for starting an e-commerce store with items only made in the United States. The e-commerce store will have online sales only, with the potential for curbside pickup eventually. The building is located in the old NAPA building in Troy.
Bradford County Tourism & Promotion Agency
Robyn Cummings spoke of some good news on behalf of the tourism agency. She reported that the annual guide is now out. It can be emailed or a digital download.
She also spoke about another guide - a local goods guide, which will highlight the producers in the county and specifically only Bradford County artisans. She mentioned there will be advertising opportunities for this guide.
Cummings went on to discuss the train car project. She says the agency is hoping for a fall installation.
“It will be a nice showpiece for the county,” she said.
Veronica Seymour reported on behalf of the Troy Sale Barn. She said that the new platforms for the stage are in the process of being put up.
Seymour also reported the numerous activities the barn is hosting, such as Monday evening Barre classes with Aimee Jones, pickleball, youth and adult archery leagues, and the many bookings the barn is receiving for upcoming events, such as weddings and showers.
The barn is also working on an online auction and is currently taking donations from local businesses.
They are also working on selling some pavers for the outside patio, which they are trying to complete for summer.

On behalf of Troy Area School District and Matt Schwenk, President Zachary Gates had said that Schwenk had received the grant he applied for a couple of months ago and thanked the chamber for its support and asked that
Amy Ward asked about the gift certificates that were previously mentioned at an earlier meeting.
The gift certificates purchased through the chamber will enable an extra amount, as the chamber will donate a certain amount extra. For example, if a $25 certificate was purchase, that person would receive $30, an extra $5 from chamber, to use at any chamber member location. Gates said he will look into previous meeting minutes for more information.
