An auction of fine merchandise donated by area businesses and families will begin at 10:15 a.m. Ed and Pam Pepper and crew always do a fantastic job. There will be bargains for everyone.
Another highlight of the day is the patriotic parade featuring floats, novelties and bicycles. Participants will line up at 12:30 p.m. on Mitstifer Loop. The parade will begin at 1 p.m. and cash prizes will be given as follows: Floats - $30, $20, $10 and $5. Novelties, $30, $20, $10 and $5. Bikes, $20, $10 and $4 for all others. All bikes must be decorated.
There will be games for children of every age. Golf “closest to the pin”, Corn Hole tournament, Dime Toss and Face painting.
Starting at 10:30am will be the traditional homemade dinner with roast pork or barbecue chicken, baked beans, coleslaw and a choice of macaroni or potato salad, dinner roll, homemade dessert and beverage. Complete dinners are only $10 for all ages. Hot dogs, sloppy joes and drinks can also be purchased in the concession stand.
Don’t forget to get your raffle tickets for an Amish crafted glider and an Amish bentwood rocking chair. Tickets are available at the LeRoy General Store and the Canton Independent Sentinel. Tickets will also be available all day at the Old Home Day Celebration. The drawing will be held approximately at 3 p.m. There will also be a 50/50 drawing.
There will be numerous craft vendors though out the day. If you would like to reserve a space, please call Ron Kirby, 570-364-5293. Memorial bricks may be ordered to commemorate a loved one. The bricks are $30 or two for $50.
The LeRoy Heritage Museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
