The 2015 Tioga County Fair Queen will be awarded a $500 Scholarship and will be eligible to represent Tioga County at the annual Pennsylvania State Fair Convention held in Hershey in January 2016. At the completion of the 2015 Tioga County Fair Queen’s reign, providing she has completed the year in good standing, she will be awarded a $500.00 cash prize sponsored by Williams Oil and Propane.
Young ladies between the ages of 16 and 20, as of June 1, 2015, are invited to compete in the Tioga County Fair Queen Contest.

During the 1990’s, Berry charted nineteen songs on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including the Number One single "Your Love Amazes Me" in 1994 and six additional Top Ten hits: "What's In It for Me," "You and Only You," "Standing on the Edge of Goodbye," "I Think About It All the Time," "Change My Mind," and "She's Taken a Shine." During his star-making decade, Berry earned several Gold and Platinum records and in 1995, he won the Horizon Award. He also received a nomination for Top Male Vocalist by the Country Music Association and was a Grammy nominee for his number one hit, “Your Love Amazes Me.” The Mansfield University Jazz Festival will be held on Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24.
The festival will include two concerts, one featuring instrumental jazz on Thursday and the other highlighting vocal jazz on Friday. Both concerts begin at 7: 30 p.m. in Steadman Theatre. They are free and open to the public. The MU Jazz Ensemble, under the director of Adam Brennan, will headline the Vocal Jazz Festival Concert on Thursday. The concert will also feature one of the high school bands participating in the Festival. That band will be selected by the festival adjudicators. Jordyn Howe has been named director of Alumni Relations at Mansfield University.
Howe, a native of Troy, previously served as associate director of Annual Giving in the Office of College Advancement at Keuka College and as Annual Fund assistant at Elmira College. “Jordyn has a proven track record of building relationships among alumni and volunteers,” MU President Fran Hendricks said in making the announcement. “She has experience in fund raising, phonathons and special events. We welcome her to the MU community and our large, loyal alumni family. |
