The Canton FFA spent part of the National FFA week heading to Harrisburg to attend the ACES conference over the weekend.
The Agricultural Cooperation Establishes Success conference happened over three different weekends in February where more than 400 members attended each session at the Sheridan Hotel for two days.
While there, the members participated in various workshops which included professionalism and FFA etiquette, morals and values, conversation skills, FFA awards and proficiencies, levels of leadership, networking and connections, advocacy, and resume and employment tips.
The workshops were run by the state officers and past state officers. The participants had time to enjoy a couple good meals at the hotel and have a social time on Saturday evening.
Canton graduate, and former state officer, Cheyenne Bastian-Brown was also in attendance of all three weekends as one who helped to run the event with the present state officers.

The Troy FFA chapter is very active in both local and state activities throughout the year.
We started national ffa week while we were attending the Aces leadership conference in Harrisburg. We also have many community service activities planned during National FFA week.
We are working with the farm bureau and collecting items for the Ronald McDonald house, the first period class who collects the most items will win a prize.
On Monday morning, we attended our local daycare to make a snack, read a farm story and make a cow craft with the toddlers. We created gift baskets from local shops as thank you gifts for many of the businesses who have supported us through the year.
We also have activities planned to give back to our school. We are doing a home made teacher breakfast for the high school teachers.
We have planned a spirit week and a daily guess that country song.
Throughout spirit week we have mathletes vs athletes Monday, camo Tuesday, Western Wednesday, FFA dress Thursday and White lie Friday.
All of these activities are lead by our officer team of President, Sara Reed, Vice President, Grace Andrews, Historian, Brady Spalding, Sentinel, Landon Jenkins, Student Advisor, Jenifer King, Chaplain, Rachel Kingsley, Parliamentarian, Olivia Champluvier, Treasurer, Hart Houseknecht, Secretary, Grace Bochatyn, Reporter, Jacob Gilpin, and the Chapter Advisor, Brooke Ostrander.
