The meeting was opened with the singing of "Pennsylvania," followed by the singing of the Hymn of the Month, "Battle Hymn of the Republic," by the members.
After a short business meeting, news on former members and prospective new members, the meeting was adjourned.
Marie, chairman of the program for the day presented the following:
February, being a month of love, St. Valentine's Day, Lent, Heart Month, the Mardi Gras, and President's Day for the patriotism, gave way for a varied program as follows:
Reading, "The Story of St. Valentine" by Marie O'Hara
"The Glory of Love" and Goodnight Sweetheart" was sung by club members, due to the absence of Joyce Castle and Florence Finogle.
"Let Me Call You Sweetheart" sung by Reba Shepard.
"I'm In the Mood for Love," was sung by Donna Stone.
Beverly Griffin and Ken Robertson sung "What The World Needs Now Is Love."
"I Love To Tell The Story" which is a gospel song was sung by Carol Kneller.
"Can't Help Lovin" That Man of Mine," sung by Marie O'Hara.
"May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You," sung by Ken Robertson.
The entire group sang "This Is My Country" and "God Bless America."
Accompanists were Carol Kneller and Carol Jones.
The next meeting will be held March 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the Canton Ecumenical Parish. Florence Finogle is program chairman and Joyce Castle and Reba Shepard are hostesses.
