CANTON — Saturday will be the day the Canton Fire Department will host a new take on its annual “fireman’s fair” Due to COVID-19 and social distancing rules, the original event was cancelled per Gov. Wolf’s recommendations.
This year, a limited carnival will take place in the same spot at the fireman’s field next to the fire hall.
Last month, the fire department held the Sunshine Shows food trucks in order to keep some normalcy for summertime events, despite the on-going pandemic.
Food stands will open at 5 p.m. and include pizza, hot sausages, cactus fries, chicken tenders, french fries, milkshakes, soda and water.
The Blind Draw Cornhole Tournament will start at 4 p.m. Payout will be a minimum of $500 and is 50/50.
Stitches the Clown will make an appearance from 5-9 p.m.
Logan Route will take the stage from 7-10 p.m.
The dime pitch will be filled with your glass. The big six wheel will be spinning as well.
There will be a gun raffle along with plenty of pull tab tickets.
Fire prevention will be set up with the smoke trailer and fire truck rides.
Fireworks will be at approximately 10 p.m., so bring your chairs and blankets to sit on the field and enjoy the end of summer show.
