Council was updated on the recent road work completed in the borough. Cemetery Road was graded, repaired, tarred and chipped. Sister Street also received repairs and was tarred and chipped.
Council members suggested that if the budget allows, to have both roads tarred and chipped next year as well.
The new reduced speed ahead and 35mph speed limit signs have arrived and will be placed on Route 14 in the next few weeks. Council made a motion to purchase 15 mph speed limit signs for Cemetery Road and Sister Street to be placed at both ends of each road.
Alba Borough Council also made a motion to accept a resolution for the planned subdivision of Paul Dibble’s property for new land development.
The next regular monthly meeting for Alba Borough Council is scheduled for Monday, October 12, 2015 in the basement of the First Christian Church of Alba at 6:00 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.
