A proposed Concert/Marching Band Trip to Williamsburg, VA on May 15 through the 17th has been approved by the Troy School Board at its last meeting.
The Troy Marching Band will travel to Williamsburg on May 15th and return on May 17. The main reason for the trip is for the band to participate in the Music in the Parks Festival.

Additionally, members will spend a day in Busch Gardens, visits Colonial Williamsburg, and the Jamestown settlement and participate in adjudicated Concert Band and Marching Band performances at a site in the Williamsburg vicinity.
Students in grades 7 through 12 who marched as a member of the Trojan Marching Band or Auxiliary, as well as all 9-12 students in Concert Band are eligible to take part.
The trip is being planned by CCIS Travel Services, Butler, PA. Transportation will be provided by Susquehanna Trailways. Quotes have already been obtained.
Approximately 50 students will be traveling to Williamsburg and approximately 10 or more paid staff will accompany them.
All funding for the trip will be drawn from ongoing fundraisers efforts of the Troy Area Band Boosters, mostly from individual student "accounts."
