The Canton Area School District would like to announce that we have qualified for a federal incentive which allows the district to provide a free breakfast and lunch to every student in the school district. As a result, residents of the Canton Area School District no longer need to fill out a Free and Reduced Application. Please be advised that to qualify as a free meal, it must meet the guidelines of a normal reimbursable meal (3 of the 5, an entrée, a grain, vegetable, fruit and milk (minimum of 1 fruit or vegetable)). This program allows each student to have one qualified meal for breakfast and one for lunch. Any additional lunches or ala carte (snacks) can be purchased through your child’s cafeteria account. If you have any questions on what makes up the reimbursable meals more information can be found on the cafeteria web page or on your child’s breakfast and lunch menu. Statistics show that students who eat breakfast have better mental and physical performance throughout the day. We hope you will encourage your child to participate in the breakfast program as well as the lunch program. Seventh Grade

Sightseeing included the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon. Day Two consisted of visiting the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and Vatican City (Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica).
On the coach bus they were able to see Rome by night and also passed by Argentinian Square where Caesar was killed. Day three involved several hours of driving through the Italian countryside and a stop in Assisi before reaching Florence. In Assisi the students saw St. Francis Cathedral and enjoyed the relaxed setting with spectacular views. |
