By Terren Smith Hi, all. I'm upset. I sat at the polls for 3 1/2 hours with Victor Lawson on my right and Jerry Frantz on my left. And did we get our picture in the paper? No. Well, let me tell you, that would have been the best picture in the paper. Do you know why? Well, I'll tell you why - a thorn on my left and a thorn on my right and a big beautiful rose in the middle.
By Terren Smith Hi, all! How was your couple of weeks? Mine were OK. I got purple guineas for Mother's Day. They are like a chicken but they eat ticks and fleas and bugs.
Then on Monday and Tuesday (Farm Days - Almanzo Wilder - at the Troy Museum) school kids from all over and as far away as Middleburg, PA came and learned about how things were in 1866. Casey Smith played the role of Almanzo and Remington Smith his best friend. By Terren Smith Hi, all. It's been a long time. My mother-in-law told me so. She needs to read the news.I get busy and forget it's Monday.
Well, the saddest news is that on Saturday we all said our final goodbyes to long-time church member, Grange member and Lions member and friend, and many other things, Barb Eiffert. It was a touching service. She will be missed by all. Randy and I joined the grange and this year Tonya Austin and I are setting up an Ondawa Grange booth in memory of Barb - and we are going to win first place! We hope. By Terren Smith Hi, how was your week?
Last week I was very sick. Our prayer list: Barb Eiffert, Dora McDonald, Pastor Rich Noggle, Phyllis Noggle, and Shirley Greenough. Most of them are on the mend but mending is very slow. Pancake Days at Fay's went well. In fact very well. I think we had a well oiled crew that worked well together and for the most everything went smoothly. Thank you for all who helped and a special thank you goes out to all who came out to support the Big Pond Lions' annual pancake days. By Terren Smith Hi, all. We are back. I've got a nice tan going.
Our prayer list: Shirley Greenough; Louise O'Hara has pneumonia; Vaughn Harkness and Regina Jackson are doing well after hip or knee replacements; Dora McDonald doing well after hernia surgery; Sherry Roberts may have to have more surgery. She is off work and in a lot of pain. Birthdays: On the 12th - Natasha Sandor; 18th, Charlotte Stevens. I don't know any more - We just got back home! Have a good week! By Terren Smith Hi everyone. A lot of people were at Mr. Guthrie's funeral on Saturday. He will be missed by all and I know I will miss talking to him on the road while he was walking. That's where i got the scoop of Ms. G. and Kelly. Saturday afternoon Carlene Austin, Shirley Greenough and Louise O'Hare went to see The Jersey Boys at the Clemens Center. Carlene said they had a good time and the place was packed with people her age. Modern technology -- My satellite box went out so Dish replaced it with a new one. This one records without the disc thing. Well, I don't know what I pressed but I recorded fifty hours of My Little Pony and cancelled half the programs. Spent twenty minutes on the phone for tech support. Too many buttons to get in the way. Abbie Smith got her fourth grade artwork in Sunday's Towanda paper. It's also at the top of this page, above this column. I think it's called dazzling arrangement of color. Full shapes and color it has. Congratulations on your art. Abbie takes after her aunt Sandra Smith and cousin Arizona. All aunt Terren can do is draw stick people. And there are two sizes - big and little. Barb Eiffert still has the flu. And Dora McDonald has to have surgery soon. In this cold ad flu season please check in with elderly neighbors. Have a good week. I'm going to try to delete My Little Pony. By Terren Smith Hi all.
I'm sick of this year already. So far I have been to three viewings or funerals. My cousin burned to death in Colorado and Randy's aunt passed away. Also we made a quick trip to North Carolina and now when we got home I heard that Tom Guthrie passed away. So that will make number four and it's only January 19th. By Terren Smith Hi all how was your week?
This cold froze pipes in two of our apartments. Every morning, we send guys to thaw our pipes. Other than colds I think most people are OK. Alex Smith had a birthday party on Sunday. His grandpa got him a chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. The cake was very rich. A very good cake. Forgot to ask what store he bought it. Next birthdays: Jerry Sandor on the 17th; Mickie Fay on the 19th. Sandra Smith will be having a art show at the Lewisburg Public Library in a few months. More later on the dates. Arizona and Dakoda set a wedding date and Arizona is going with the flow., August 8, 2015 at South Creek Fire Hall. It's going to be a casual/western/hunting type wedding. Let you know how it went after August 8th. Have a good week. By Terren Smith Hi everyone. Happy New Year. I'm back!

Pamula from her fall has a metal plate below her eye and is healed from that and Dilmon Dunbar took a tumble on the ice. That was the bad news three weeks ago. By Terren Smith

Hi all, how was your week? Randy and I had a very good time on our mini vacation. We went to Gettysburg and spent two nights at Cashtown Bed and Breakfast which is the most haunted bed and breakfast in the Gettsyburg area. I did not see any ghosts but things went on in our room. My hand towel was to the left of the sink and when I got up it was in the sink. Then I woke to dresser drawers clanging. Then the last night I outen the candles in the window got ready for bed and the candle was turned on. Very neat. |
