Hi all, how was your week?
Flying fast to the holidays. Soon it will be over and 2015 will be here and just a few years ago we were all worried that the year 2000 everything was going to crash.
Now look 15 years later we are still here. Computers are better, phones do everything you could ever think of.
Well let's get to the next thing, birthdays. Dec. 8, Bobby Cory; Dec. 14, Vaughn Harkness; 16th, Mary Soper. Happy birthday to all.
Yes, Alice Frantz told me about over the weekend Alexis LaFever sang and danced her way through a performance of the musical "The Sound of Plaid". Proud grandparents Jerry and Alice Frantz said they enjoyed the show and Alexis did a wonderful job.
Earl Smith had revised a family book just in time for a nice Christmas gift with 30 pages of cousins' pictures from bygone years. Earl has traced the Smiths back to the 1600s as well as many connecting families. The pictures alone are worth the price of $20.00. I love the one of Duane Fay in a dress when he was a baby.
If anyone is interested in purchasing a book by a born and raised Big Ponder, call Sandra Smith, 570-596-4652.
People on the recuperating list: Avery Watkins, Randy Smith, Pamula, Dora McDonald has a tumor on her foot growing towards her toes making it very hard to walk. In three weeks she goes to a specialist to see about getting it removed.
Last Thursday the Big Pond United Methodist Women plus Wetona United Methodist Women had their annual Christmas party. This year they had soup, crackers, bread, cookies, and punch. After they ate they all sang songs then had a gift exchange. Everyone had a good time.
Have a good week.
