Come join us at the Mt. Pisgah State Park Lakeside Pavilion on Thursday, June 18th at 6:30. Mr. Tom Maloney will be giving a hand-on presentation about pollinators. He is horticulture educator for the Penn State Extension Office with over 30 years experience serving the extension.
There are more insects living in our world than any other type of animal. Come explore the abundance of insects living in different areas of Mt. Pisgah State Park. We will search the fields, woods, lake and possibly even the butterfly garden and herb garden looking for both good bugs and bad bugs. Of all the insects living in the world only 3% are considered to be harmful.
Come early at 5 pm for a hotdog roast - dish to pass - get together where you can learn more about Trail Life and its sister organization American Heritage Girls. Trail Life is a K-12 Christian based program that centers on outdoor experiences. If you want to get in on the adventure, contact Jeff Deutschle, Troopmaster, at 570-673-4275 or email at JeffTrailLife@gmail.com
