Suzanne Putnam was born on January 15th 1955. She grew up in Fassett with her parents, Bob and Joanne Silvernail, and her two younger brothers. She graduated from Troy High School in 1972 with a concentration in Business and was a member of the Trojan Marching Band. After graduation, Suzanne began working for the First Bank of Troy office in Gillett as a teller. She attended Bucknell University and graduated with a banking degree in 1984. 35 years after she started banking, she retired as the branch manager in Troy from First Citizens Bank.
Suzanne’s bowling career started when she was 10 years old. She would go bowling with her family at Elmira Bowling Center. She began bowling on a regular league in 1984 on the Thursday A League, which was a 5 lady team. The Thursday league split and the ladies would bowl the early shift one week and then late shift the next week. Her teammates and good friends were Jan Doner, Sharon Finnerty, Lee Ballard and Loraine Metzger.

Suzanne averaged between 135 and 140 and her highest series was a mid 500. She and her teammates also attended the State Bowling Tournament three years. Suzanne retired from bowling in December of 2007 due to illness.
Suzanne currently resides in Farmer’s Valley with her husband, Allen. She has two Daughters, Heather Bohner and Sarah Murray, two stepchildren, Jamie and Todd Putnam, and seven grandchildren. She loves spending time with her family.
Suzanne would like to thank everyone for this amazing honor. She misses bowling with the girls on Thursday nights, and cherishes all the memories and laughs.
